AZ-900 Exam Study Notes – Part 4
61 | What significance does the name for your Azure storage account have? |
A | The name you give the storage account becomes the main web address for accessing the files in it. It must be unique across all of Azure. |
62 | Which types of blobs are supported by Azure storage? |
A | Azure Storage supports three types of blobs: block, page and append. |
63 | A Storage account must first be created in order to create an Azure Storage Queue |
A | True |
64 | Which service is best suited for Cold storage data? |
A | The Azure cool storage tier is optimized for storing data that is infrequently accessed and long-lived. Data in the cool storage tier can tolerate slightly lower availability, but still requires high durability and similar time-to-access and throughput characteristics as hot data. For cool data, a slightly lower availability SLA and higher access costs are acceptable trade-offs for much lower storage costs. |
65 | Can the resources from multiple regions can be in one resource group ? |
A | Yes |
66 | What are valid managed disk storage types on Azure? |
A | Azure offers 4 types of manage disk storage: Standard HDD, Standard SSD, Premium SSD and Ultra Disk |

A | No, every resource on the VNET must be in the same region |
71 | What is the primary use for disk storage? |
A | Disk storage is a full virtual hard disk that you can access. It is ideal as the disk for a virtual machine. In fact, when you create a Virtual machine, disk storage is created too. |
72 | Only a single application can be hosted within a web App. Moreover, multiple web Apps need to be created to host multiple applications. |
A | True, a single web app in Azure can be used to host multiple applications. |
73 | Can a VNET belogns to multiple subscription ? |
A | No, a VNET belongs to just one subscription. But a subscription can have multple VNETs. |
74 | Azure File Storage allows for applications to have shared storage using the SMB 2.1 protocol. |

A | Blob containers on Azure act similar to directories in a file system. They can contain an unlimited number of blobs. Moreover, a blob can be any type of text or binary file, up to about 4.7 TB. |
78 | Virtual Machines (VMs) in Azure can be accessed using which of the following methods? |
A | Windows VMs in Azure will get accessed via RDP and default access option for Linux VMs is SSH |
79 | Which of the following features increase resiliency of Azure SQL database? |
A | Point-in-time restore, a self-service feature available for Basic, Standard, and Premium databases provides resilience with its backups. Geo replication and Geo-restore are other ways to increase the resiliency by increasing availability of data. |
80 | What is a scenario where file storage is a good solution? |
A | File storage is, as the name suggest, perfect for storing files of varying types and sizes. Use file storage as an extension of your on-premises file systems to never run out of space and also prioritise what data you keep on-premises. |
